The Win Guarantee
The promise, in one line: Apply for just 3 grants a month through Grant Wizard. If your organisation hasn't won by the end of your subscription year, we refund 100% of what you paid. You never have to prove a rejection — we verify against funders' published results.
1.
Who this applies to
1.1The Win Guarantee is available to subscribers on the Growth Annual plan.
1.2To be covered, you must confirm — from the Win Guarantee card on your dashboard — that your organisation: (a) is a legally registered entity; (b) operates in a sector for which grant funding is realistically available; and (c) is genuinely eligible to apply for the grants it intends to pursue. We ask for this once per subscription year. Your submissions count from the start either way, but this confirmation must be on record before you can file a claim.
1.3One guarantee, one organisation. The Win Guarantee applies to a single organisation, which you designate when your Growth Annual subscription begins. All qualifying submissions must be made on behalf of that organisation, and the guarantee is satisfied only by that organisation winning. Submissions made for — or wins by — any other organisation in your account do not count toward this guarantee. Operating multiple organisations does not create multiple guarantees or refund claims. You choose your designated organisation from your dashboard, and you can change it until your first qualifying submission is recorded for any of your organisations — after that it is locked for the remainder of your subscription year.
1.4The Win Guarantee is offered by Grant Master, the operator of Grant Wizard ("we", "us", "our").
2.
What you must do to qualify for a refund
To be eligible to make a claim at the end of your subscription year, all of the following must be true:
2.1Apply for grants consistently — about 3 a month. To qualify for a refund, submit at least 36 qualifying proposals for your designated organisation across your 12-month subscription period, distributed across at least 10 of your 12 subscription months. Months run from your subscription start date. Which submissions count is governed by 2.2 to 2.7 — in particular 2.7, which requires that the funder publishes its results.
2.2Grants your organisation is genuinely eligible for. Each qualifying submission must be to an opportunity your designated organisation is eligible for under the funder's own published criteria, and which falls within its sector, size and geography. Grant Wizard shows a Fit score (out of 10) on opportunities it surfaces, to help you judge this. That score is guidance only — it is not a determination by us that an opportunity qualifies, and it carries no contractual weight. Opportunities you find outside Grant Wizard may also qualify, and carry no score. We will not exclude a submission under this clause except where the mismatch is clear from the funder's own stated criteria.
2.3Completeness check. Each submission must be a complete proposal — containing the core sections the opportunity requires (such as a needs statement, methodology, and budget where applicable) and meeting the opportunity's stated format. This is an objective completeness check, not a judgement of your proposal's merit. A legitimately brief application — a letter of intent, a concept note, a character-capped form — still counts: unusually short submissions are flagged for human review at claim time rather than automatically excluded. Only an empty proposal never counts.
2.4Submitted to the funder and marked in Grant Wizard. Grant applications are submitted on each funder's own website or portal — not through Grant Wizard. For a submission to count, you must: (a) export the proposal from Grant Wizard; (b) submit it to the funder; and (c) mark the proposal as "submitted" on your Grant Wizard dashboard.
2.5Late-cycle applications. Submissions you make in the final months of your subscription count toward your total, provided the funder publishes its result before verification of your claim is completed (Section 4.3). A win counts as long as it is publicly announced before your claim window closes (Section 4.1).
2.6Keep proof of each submission. Each qualifying proposal must have a proof of submission attached on your dashboard — a screenshot or photo of the funder's confirmation, your sent email, the printed/stamped application, or a postal/courier receipt — uploaded when you mark it submitted (replaceable within 7 days). Submissions without proof do not count toward your total. This proves you applied; it is separate from how wins are recognised (Section 3), where no proof of rejection is ever required.
2.7Only verifiable outcomes count. Your claim is verified against funders' published results (Section 4.3). A submission therefore counts toward your 36 only if the funder publicly announces its selected recipients by name. Whether a funder publishes its results is your own check before you apply — Grant Wizard cannot determine this for every funder, and we do not represent that it can. Submissions to funders that never publish their results do not count toward your total, however strong the application. We therefore recommend applying to materially more than 36 opportunities across your year.
3.
What counts as "winning"
3.1What counts. The guarantee is satisfied — and no refund is due — if your designated organisation, during your subscription year, receives any of the following from an opportunity you applied to through Grant Wizard:
- a grant award (any size);
- a cash prize from a pitch competition or grant challenge;
- acceptance into a fellowship (funded or not); or
- selection into a cohort or programme (funded or not).
3.2What doesn't count (though a finalist position, shortlist, or recognition may earn you a Win Reward — see the separate Win Reward program):
- being named a finalist or shortlisted without being selected;
- being "under consideration" or reaching a private interview round;
- private feedback from a funder;
- a waitlist position.
3.3No proof of rejection required. You are never required to produce rejection letters, chase funders, or prove that you did not win. Your organisation's absence from a funder's published list of selected recipients is what establishes a non-win. Where a funder has published no such list, non-selection cannot be established from public sources and that submission does not support a claim (see 2.7). Wins recognised during your subscription year via the Win Reward flow are already on record and treated as satisfying the guarantee.
4.
How and when to claim
4.1Claim window. Your claim window opens on the final day of your 12-month subscription period and remains open for 90 days. Claims submitted after this window are not accepted.
4.2How to claim. Submit a claim through your Grant Wizard account, confirming that you met the conditions in Section 2 and that your designated organisation received no qualifying outcome as defined in Section 3.
4.3Verification. We verify your claim by checking the published results of the funders you applied to. Verification is completed within 30 days of a complete claim. Where a funder has not published its results by the close of that period, that submission cannot be verified and does not count toward your 36 (2.7) — it does not, by itself, defeat a claim that still meets the threshold on your other submissions.
4.4The refund. On a verified claim, we refund 100% of the annual subscription fee you paid, in the currency you paid in, via your original payment method where possible. If we cannot refund via that method (for example, the card has expired or the channel is unavailable), we will arrange an alternative route — typically bank transfer — and contact you to coordinate. Refunds complete within 14 business days of verification.
5.
What voids the guarantee
The guarantee does not apply, and no refund is due, if:
5.1you did not meet the conditions in Section 2, including the requirement to submit at least 36 qualifying proposals distributed across at least 10 of your 12 subscription months;
5.2your designated organisation was not genuinely eligible for the grants it applied to, or the eligibility confirmation you gave under 1.2 was materially inaccurate;
5.3you cancelled, downgraded, or did not maintain your Growth Annual subscription for the full 12-month period;
5.4a claim is found to be fraudulent or to misrepresent your submissions or outcomes, in which case we reserve the right to refuse the claim and terminate the subscription without refund; or
5.5you have initiated a chargeback, payment dispute, or other reversal of your subscription payment. A guarantee refund is conditioned on there being no open or completed payment dispute for the same subscription; or
5.6fewer than 36 of your qualifying submissions can be verified against funders' published results, in accordance with 2.7 and 4.3.
6.
General
6.1One guarantee per Growth Annual subscription, applying to your single designated organisation.
6.2You can see where you stand. Your Grant Wizard dashboard shows the submissions you have recorded, the months you have covered, and which organisation the guarantee covers, updated as you mark each submission. That count reflects what you have recorded. Whether each submission finally counts also depends on the conditions in Section 2 — including whether the funder publishes its results (2.7) — which is confirmed when your claim is verified.
6.3Changes. We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in effect when you subscribed govern your subscription year and will not be changed to your disadvantage during it. This version takes effect on 1 September 2026 and governs guarantee years beginning on or after that date. If your guarantee year began earlier, the previous version (v1) governs your year in full.
6.4Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
6.5Not a financial product. The Win Guarantee is a commercial service guarantee. It is not a financial product, deposit, or investment, and confers no entitlement to any return beyond the refund described above.
